Denpasar - A fatal accident between a motorbike and a Fuso truck occurred on Jalan Bypass Ngurah Rai, Denpasar, this morning. A Dutch citizen (WN) died horribly with his head severed.

"The tourist who suffered a severed head injury died at the crime scene," said Head of Public Relations for the Denpasar Police, AKP I Ketut Sukadi in a written statement to detikBali, Tuesday (19/12/2023).

The Dutch tourist was involved in a traffic accident on Jalan Bypass Ngurah Rai, precisely at the intersection of Jalan Griya Anyar-Pemogan, South Denpasar District. The fatal accident occurred at around 05.00 WITA.

Julian was riding a motorbike with plate number DK 2631 FCX at the time of the accident. At the time of the incident, the 21 year old foreigner crashed into a Fuso truck with plate number B 9088 II driven by a man named Muchammad Fatkhurrozi.

Julian and Fatkhurrozi, who were driving their respective vehicles, initially moved together from west to east on the Ngurah Rai Bypass Road. Fatkhurrozi, who was driving a Fuso truck, then wanted to turn left onto Jalan Griya Anyar.

"Suddenly the motorbike driver was at such speed and did not maintain a safe distance, resulting in a traffic accident," explained Sukadi.

Currently, the accident is being handled by the police. The police have questioned a man, Ridho Rahmad Nooraji (20), the driver of the truck involved in the accident.
