A 26-year-old Japanese TikTok influencer and ENHYPEN fansite manager known as Mina died by suicide during a TikTok live broadcast from her residence in the Yongsan District of Seoul early in the morning on August 5, 2026.
Emergency services arrived at approximately 5:33 a.m. after being alerted by an acquaintance and online viewers, but she was already deceased.
Mina had around 80,000 followers on TikTok and was a prominent fan of Ni-ki, a Japanese member of the K-pop group ENHYPEN.
She had recently faced intense online scrutiny and cyberbullying following a concert interaction in the United States.
During her final livestream, a heavy influx of negative commentary reportedly distressed her deeply.
Viewers watching the broadcast in real time alerted authorities and shared requests for assistance across X (formerly Twitter).
The Seoul Yongsan Police Station responded to the scene and is investigating the exact timeline and circumstances surrounding the incident.
Authorities have stated there are no initial signs of foul play.
