A McAllen father and son were arrested after a high football player suffered a deadly fall during a pool party, according to a report by The Monitor.
Jamie De La Cerda Islas, 51, was arrested Saturday and charged with purchasing and furnishing alcohol to a minor. His son was taken to a juvenile detention center, shortly after the incident.
Islas was jailed on $30,000 bail and was released the following day after posting bond.
