A young man identified as Sérgio Videira Barbosa, 23 years old, was murdered with at least 10 shots on Saturday afternoon (10). The crime took place on Rio Jararete Street, located in the São José Operário neighborhood, in the East Zone of Manaus.

The moment of the execution was recorded by a neighborhood security camera. In the images, the victim appears sitting on the sidewalk in front of a house, when a gray car passes by and stops a little further ahead. Then, a man gets out of the vehicle and fires several shots at Sérgio, who was unable to escape.

The crime took place in broad daylight and was witnessed by at least four people who were on the sidewalk of a house next to where the victim was sitting. Upon noticing the crime, the neighbors immediately ran inside the house.

After the execution, the suspect, who has not yet been identified, got into his car and fled at high speed. There is no information about what could have motivated the crime.

The victim's body was removed by the Legal Medical Institute (IML) and the case will be investigated by the Specialized Homicide and Kidnapping Unit (DEHS).
