A 57-year-old woman was stabbed to death inside a bar in Jaraguá, north of São Paulo, on the night of May 12th, Mother's Day. The victim, Maria Santos Rocha, was the ex-wife of the owner of the establishment.
According to witnesses, Maria did not accept the end of the relationship and used to frequent the bar to watch her ex-husband. On the night of the crime, she found him talking to another woman, Gabrielle, at the counter.
Maria reacted aggressively, starting a fight with Gabrielle. The confusion ended with Maria being stabbed. She was rescued, but did not survive her injuries and died in hospital.
Gabrielle claimed self-defense. The case was registered by the Civil Police, which is investigating the circumstances of the crime.
