The femicide was recorded on Monday night and the criminal was arrested
Francisca Alves do Nascimento, 35, was killed with 4 stab wounds, on Monday night (15), in front of the Lucas do Rio Verde bus station (354 km north of Cuiabá). A 46-year-old suspect, believed to be the victim's ex-husband, was detained by members of the public until the police arrived.
According to the information, it was after 7:50 pm when the police were called to a stabbing incident. When they arrived, they found the suspect detained by members of the public in the arrivals area.
The victim was also lying at the scene, with a wound to the neck. The Fire Department rescued Francisca, but she succumbed to her injuries and died when she was admitted to São Lucas Hospital.
Marcelo Ochoa de Freitas, 46, was taken to the police station along with a knife. Expert examination showed that she had 4 knife wounds on her body, one on her neck and 3 on her face.
The motive for the crime was not confirmed by the Civil Police. The case remains under investigation.
