The security camera recorded the moment in which João Rodrigues Neto Dias is murdered 

in front of his two daughters, while riding a motorcycle on a street in downtown São 

Raimundo Nonato, south of Piauí, this Tuesday (13). The victim was married to the 

municipal secretary of labor and social assistance, Valdenia Costa.



In the images, the criminal waits for João Rodrigues to pass and approaches the victim, 

who was with his two daughters on the motorcycle. The man points the gun and shoots 

towards João's head.



The victim then falls off the motorcycle and the criminal runs away. 

The two children witnessed all the action.

For the police, the suspicion is that the motive of the crime is revenge. 

The shooter has not been identified.



The mayor of São Raimundo Nonato, Carmelita Castro, mourned the death of João Rodrigues 

Dias Neto and expressed solidarity with secretary Valdenia Costa and her daughters. 

The Municipal Secretary of Work and Social Assistance (Semtas) and the bodies that 

are part of the portfolio closed this Tuesday.
