A serious traffic accident on Wednesday, October 7, left four people dead and three others critically injured on the road connecting El Mellito and Mulatos, near Pueblo Pajón in the municipality of Necoclí, Antioquia Department, Colombia.

The collision involved a public transport van and a van belonging to the Ara supermarket chain. Due to the force of the impact, four people died, including the driver of the van. The three seriously injured individuals received first aid and were transported to medical facilities in Apartadó.

According to preliminary witness reports, the accident occurred when the driver of the van attempted to swerve to avoid a pothole in the road and ended up colliding head-on with the other van.

The circumstances of the incident are still being investigated by the relevant authorities, who will determine the causes of the accident.
