Gabriel da Silva Ferreira was shot in the Conjunto Canarinho complex, in the Tapanã neighborhood, on Saturday afternoon (12).

A 23-year-old man was shot and killed on Saturday afternoon (September 12, 2026) in the Conjunto Canarinho complex, in the Tapanã neighborhood of Belém, Pará.

According to preliminary information, the victim was identified as Gabriel da Silva Ferreira. He was shot six times and taken to the emergency room at Augusto Montenegro Hospital, but he did not survive the severity of his injuries, and his death was confirmed at the medical facility.

According to witnesses, the assailant arrived at the scene on a motorcycle and was wearing clothing similar to that worn by motorcycle taxi drivers. After shooting the young man, the suspect fled without a trace.

Police teams arrived at the scene and cordoned off the area for a forensic investigation. The body was transported by the Medical Examiner's Office for an autopsy.
