The National Civil Police (PNC) shared details this Sunday, August 30, of the case of three alleged criminals who were beaten in the village of El Jocotillo, Villa Canales.

According to information from the local substation, three men were taken to the Villa Nueva Specialty Hospital with burns on different parts of their bodies, after they were nearly lynched when they were accused of theft.

The incident occurred early Sunday morning in Obrajuelo alley, El Jocotillo village, Villa Canales.

The alleged criminals were identified as Jonathan "N", 18 years old; Vinicio "N", 48, and Marvin "N", 19, who suffered burns on different parts of their bodies.

Among the evidence found is the P320FLM pickup truck, maroon, model 2003, which was burned by the mob.

The vehicle P265CSL, beige, model 1995, was also located, which was embedded between some rocks.

According to the PNC, people who were at the scene indicated that on several occasions they had observed the suspects moving around in one of the vehicles.

They added that, supposedly, the beaten men had already broken into a store to rob it, so they were detained because they allegedly intended to rob another business.
