Residents of the Hidalgo neighborhood in Nicolás Romero, State of Mexico , subdued a man who was attempting to rob a business. Neighbors stated that this was not the first time this individual had tried to steal in the municipality.

That's how they tied him up and beat him up after his attempted robbery.

The attempted robbery occurred on 16 de Septiembre Avenue , when the subject entered a commercial business with the intention of taking the belongings of those inside.

One of the workers at the place reacted and began shouting for help towards the street, which alerted shopkeepers and people passing by.

When they heard the cries for help, several residents cornered the alleged thief on the public road to prevent him from escaping.

After subduing him on the ground, the neighbors took him to an electricity pole, where they tied him up with ropes and beat him while yelling at him.

During the citizen's arrest , several people claimed to recognize the alleged offender .

Merchants pointed out that this same man had already been apprehended weeks earlier in the streets of the El Progreso neighborhood after committing another robbery, so they demanded that the authorities not release him this time.
