Simon Peter Carman, a 46-year-old Australian from Ballarat, has been arrested and charged in connection with the death of a 17-year-old Thai girl.
The girl was found naked and curled up inside a black suitcase abandoned in the brush alongside the train tracks. She showed visible signs of a severe assault, including facial swelling, bruises, and blood around her mouth and nose. She had been dead for more than a day when she was found.
In the early morning hours of June 25, 2026, security camera footage shows Carman and the girl entering his rented apartment on Jomtien Second Road together, holding hands.
That was the last time she was seen alive.
