San Jacinto, California — A suspected hit-and-run driver was shot and killed by deputies after allegedly pulling a firearm during an attempted arrest on February 7.
Authorities said the suspect fled the scene of a crash before deputies located him nearby. When officers tried to take him into custody, he reportedly refused commands and produced a gun, prompting deputies to open fire. He died at the scene.
