A shocking case from Korba district in Chhattisgarh has gone viral after a man allegedly murdered his wife, decapitated her, and then walked through the village carrying her severed head in public.

Police say the accused, identified as Salik Ram Yadav, reportedly attacked his 50-year-old wife with a sharp meat-cutting weapon following a domestic dispute. Witnesses allegedly saw him roaming around Bundeli village with the head in one hand and the weapon in the other before eventually placing both into a plastic sack.

The couple reportedly worked at a poultry farm and had been living there for several years with their four children. Investigators said alcohol may have played a role, with frequent arguments between the pair allegedly escalating into the fatal attack.

Authorities later arrested the suspect, seized the weapon, and sent the victim’s body for post-mortem examination. The investigation remains ongoing as police continue reconstructing the sequence of events.
