BUTON - A grandfather named La Nato (61) was found dead after being swallowed alive by an eight-meter-long python, in South Buton Regency, Southeast Sulawesi (Sultra), Saturday (5/7/2025).
The incident occurred not far from the victim's garden in the Sampolawa District. Previously, La Nato was reported missing on Friday (4/7) afternoon, after going to his garden to see his pet chickens.
Until night fell, the victim had not returned home, so the family decided to search the next day.
The family's search finally paid off when they found a python with a swollen belly about 500 meters from the victim's garden. Residents' suspicions grew stronger when they tried to call the victim's cell phone number and heard a ringing sound from inside the snake's body.
