Brazil – A tragic accident shocked residents of Queimados, in Baixada Fluminense, on Tuesday night (20). A man, not yet identified, died after falling off his bicycle when he ran over a dog that crossed his path at the entrance to Riachuelo, on the corner of a gas station, in a village in the region. During the fall, he suffered a deep cut on his leg caused by a glass cup he was carrying, resulting in fatal bleeding.

According to reports circulating on social media, the accident occurred around 7:00 p.m. The cyclist was riding down the street when the dog suddenly crossed the road, causing him to lose his balance. In the fall, the glass cup he was carrying, possibly in a backpack or bag, broke and caused a serious injury to his leg, hitting an artery. Witnesses described a scene of despair, with residents trying to stop the bleeding while waiting for help. Despite their efforts, the victim did not survive and died before reaching the hospital.

A video recorded by security cameras in the region, which went viral on social media, shows the exact moment of the accident. The images capture the dog crossing the street, the collision and the cyclist falling, followed by people nearby trying to help.
