Old age is often a real living nightmare. The body becomes weak as fuck and almost everything hurts or annoys; there's probably a ton of chronic medical conditions to deal with; most of the time is spend either completely alone inside one's head or boring oneself to death precisely waiting for death to finally arrive; and to top all that off, the few loved ones that person might have (if there are any left around and they haven't fled already) most likely see that person as a burden or something to check on from time to time out of pity, guilt or to see if they can inherit money or another prized possessions for them.
