Asokan began his career as a mimicry artist in 2000 when he performed at a local grassroots event. Over the years, he became well-known for his performances at various charity and community events in Singapore, Malaysia, and India.
Footage of what is believed to be Asokan’s final performance has surfaced on social media, showing him lip-syncing to the song 'Ullam Rendum' from the 1974 film 'Sivagamiyin Selvan'. Asokan was seen engaging with the audience, clapping and waving after the performance. Sadly, moments later, he collapsed on stage.
