On Wednesday afternoon (4), a man, still unidentified, was run over by a water tanker truck in the municipality of Anori, 175 km from Manaus, in the interior of Amazonas. A video from a local security camera recorded the fatal accident.

Around 2:31 pm, the man, who was wearing shorts, sandals and carrying a shirt over his shoulder, was walking calmly on a sidewalk. When crossing the street, he stopped to get something from his pocket, without noticing the approach of a water tanker truck that was making a turn on the same street where he was.

When he took a step back, the man was hit by the truck's rear wheel and pulled under the vehicle, which crushed his body. The driver and passenger of the truck got out to check the situation and found the victim still alive. According to reports, an ambulance was called to the scene.

At the time of this edition's publication, the victim was not listed in the Forensic Medical Institute (IML) report and his health status had not been released.
