Violence claimed a new victim in the department of Magdalena. Another woman was murdered, the third in less than 72 hours, using a contract killing method, which raised to 51 the number of people who have been killed by gunfire in the entire department so far in August.

The terrible bloody incident that has the community of Fundación in suspense was perpetrated by two gunmen who managed to escape once they had completed their mission.

THE VICTIM

The victim was reported by the authorities as Coraima Caterine Gutiérrez Donado, 29 years old, a housewife and mother of two children. Witnesses said that she lived near the scene of the incident and died immediately as a result of the multiple gunshot wounds inflicted by her attackers.

THIS IS HOW THE CRIME HAPPENED

The recent assassination took place on Calle 3 and Carrera 17 in the Paz del Río neighborhood, near the former headquarters of the local Coliseo de Feria, when two unknown individuals traveling by motorcycle approached the victim who was traveling aboard a high-cylinder Suzuki DR50 vehicle.

According to preliminary reports, it was there that the subject who was riding as a passenger pulled out a firearm and, without saying a word, shot Coraima repeatedly, causing her to fall next to her motorcycle on the dusty street, where she lay face down and died instantly without being able to be helped by the people who were passing by the area and who heard at least five shots, and then the sound of a motorcycle leaving the place at full speed.
