The reason behind the incident is not yet known. According to the information, there is Gokul Jewellers and Deep Jewellers on Birhana Road under Collectorganj police station area of Kanpur, whose owner Anand Verma, for some reason, hanged himself on Tuesday night with a dupatta tied to a fan.
CCTV of this entire incident has come to light because there was a CCTV installed right in front of the place where this incident occurred. On Wednesday morning, when Anand's son reached his father's room, he saw that his father's body was hanging from the fan, then he informed his father's elder brother about this. At the time when the incident occurred, the deceased's wife and one of his daughters were at her parents' house. On getting information about the incident, the police and forensic team reached the spot and the body was sent for post-mortem. In this regard, ACP Collectorganj Mohsin Khan said that the police has investigated the incident. Further action will be taken on the basis of the written complaint of the family members.
