An elderly man was murdered, this Tuesday morning (31), in Vasco da Gama, in the North Zone of Recife. According to records made by the Civil Police, businessman Arnaldo José da Silva, 70 years old, was in front of his house when two men passed by on a motorcycle and fired several firearms. The family informed the police that the victim had no criminal record.
The crime occurred at 7:30 am, on Rua Frederico Ozanan, in Córrego do Botijão. According to the incident report, the elderly man, who sold snacks in the North Zone of the city, was preparing to take his wife to work. The son, who was at home, ready to go to school, heard the shots, ran into the street and found his father dead.
The case was registered by delegate Humberto Ramos, from the Task Force of the Department of Homicide and Personal Protection (DHPP). On the victim's body, experts detected four injuries. The projectiles hit the chest and face.
