Driver still at-large days after driving into Greensboro crowd, injuring 11 including 4 NC A&T State University students
GREENSBORO, N.C. (WGHP) — Greensboro police say they’re still searching for the driver who drove into a crowd of people Friday night and injured 11 people, four of whom were students at North Carolina A&T State University.
It happened along South Eugene Street in Greensboro. Greensboro police said they had an idea of what kind of car the driver was in but declined to share specifics.

Several shocking 911 calls captured the chaos and confusion after the car drove into a crowd of people along South Eugene Street in Greensboro.
Greensboro police say 11 people were injured. A North Carolina A&T State University spokesperson says four of the victims are students. They are all expected to recover. Police said the most serious injuries reported were broken bones.
NC A&T freshman Kennedy Stewart was there when it happened.
“We heard the car rev up, and everyone kind of just ran in the opposite direction. Me and my friends weren’t trying to run, but since everyone was running around us, we were getting pushed, so we had to go,” said Stewart.
Stewart said she was in the area for a party with more than a hundred people. She said when things got out of control, she tried to stay calm.
“I was nervous at first just to make sure that I wasn’t, you know, going to get trampled and stuff like that,” said Stewart.
FOX8 reached out to NC A&T for comment. They declined to answer any of our questions about this large gathering.
We reached out to Greensboro police as well. They told us officers were in the area to assist with crowd control and traffic prior to the ordeal.
Investigators are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers.
