In less than 14 hours, five lives were lost in the baipases. Three victims were from the same family.
A son and his parents went to heaven together. It is the result of the tragic traffic accident, which occurred on the night of Sunday, December 12, at the intersection of El Cooperativismo and Río Toachi avenues (bypass Quito - Quevedo).
Carlos Parrales, 51 years old; his wife Francis David, 37; and his son Omar Parrales David, 22 years old; they remained between the twisted irons of the truck in which they were moving.
During the day they went to the El Esfuerzo parish to participate in a sports day. On the way back, they made a pause at kilometer 18 of the Quevedo road, where they bathed and ate at the property of a relative.
The accident occurred when they were on their way to their home, located near the Manuel Ramos Lineal Park. The impact was against a heavy platform-type vehicle, whose driver fled the site.
