Horror in a taxi: He was attacked with a gun by the last passenger he picked up

In the Gaziemir district of Izmir, a taxi driver was shot three times with a gun by a customer whom he had picked up so that he would not get cold in the cold. In the incident captured on the in-car camera, the attacker's cold-blooded demeanor and slapping the injured driver, who was searching for something in the vehicle for minutes, drew attention.

The incident took place in Gaziemir district at around 03.30 the previous night. According to the information obtained, taxi driver Oğuz E. (44), who picked up the masked customer from Göksu District of Buca district, moved his vehicle upon the customer's directions.

He fired 3 shots in cold blood

Taxi driver Oğuz E. stopped the vehicle, stating that he had arrived at the desired address, after being driven to the wrong addresses by the aggressive customer for a while. The attacker asked "How much do we owe?" and shot the driver three times in a row with the gun next to him, pretending to take money out of his pocket and saying "221 lira, brother".

He searched for something in the vehicle for minutes and advised, "You should not trust some people."

While the taxi driver Oğuz E. fell onto the side seat and suffered pain after the attack, the attacker got out of the vehicle, opened the front passenger door, entered the vehicle and searched for something for about 10 minutes. The attacker, who was heard saying "You can't trust some people" in some of the footage captured on the in-car camera, slapped the injured taxi driver at one point and then left the scene after waiting outside the vehicle for minutes.

He stalled the taxi driver for minutes by giving the wrong address

The moments when the aggressive customer distracted the taxi driver were recorded on the in-car security camera. After driving for a while, the taxi driver can be heard saying "Brother, we are in Gaziemir" to the attacker who said he was going to "the gym behind Buca Municipality" and the attacker can be heard saying "It has to be there".

“I thought I'd get some cold air. "It is not possible to leave people stranded."

In some of the footage, the taxi driver says, “I just bought the car. I left my driver friend and was going home. I won't work, the car is broken anyway. I will drop off the car to the industry in the morning. I thought I'd get some cold air. It is not possible to leave people stranded. If you wear that mask, no one will stop you, brother," while the attacker says, "I'm sick, that's why I wear it, brother." Driver Oğuz E. said, “I will buy it, why not? "Shall we leave people on the street in this weather? It's freezing outside," he can be heard saying.

Caught with criminal equipment

The injured Oğuz was taken to Izmir  Atatürk Training and Research Hospital by the medical teams who came to the address upon the notice of the surrounding people  . E. was taken into surgery here. While it was learned that the driver's treatment in the hospital was continuing, police teams started working to catch the attacker. By watching 110 hours of footage from approximately 70 camera eyes, it was determined that the suspect was DA, and the team caught the person with the crime tool and detained him. It was learned that the attacker will be referred to the courthouse after his statement at the police station.
