Thief dies after falling from the fifth floor while trying to steal something from a school

A subject died after falling from the fifth floor of the San Isidro school, located on block 15 of Ferrocarril Avenue, in Santa Anita. The man would be an alleged thief who entered the premises in the early hours of the morning.

According to América Noticias, the alleged criminal would have been accompanied by two people. In addition, they used a chainsaw to break part of the bars that covered the windows of the institution.

It was residents of the area who notified the owner of the school about loud noises from inside the establishment. “They tell me that it has gotten into the environment. When we heard noises in the early morning, because it was at 6 a.m., we were alerted and the security services were notified,” said Wilder Paucar, director of the San Isidro school.

Watchmen from the Municipality of Santa Anita arrived at the scene and inspected the facilities. “We went from floor to floor, checking to see if we found anyone. Arriving at the top floor we visualized a man of approximately 50 years old. When he saw our presence, the first thing he did was run,” pointed out the serene Tomás Céspedes Ibarra.

“What the security staff did was support him, make him see reason, but apparently the man was under the influence of toxic substances. So we told him: 'calm down, calm down, come, let's go up'. And he said 'I'm old, let me go' ", he added.

In the images released, the man is seen holding on to bricks to avoid falling, but he also refused to be intervened. After a few minutes, he ended up falling and died.

“We were grabbing him and the man kicked me. 'Let go of me, let me go, he said'”, pointed out a night watchman.
