That night a horrific and fatal accident happened on the BR-101, the victim, name not released, was crossing the road, when he was hit at high speed by a car, the driver did not stop to offer assistance according to witnesses. As they were going to check on the male to see if he was still alive, a truck sped past and ran him over, causing more catastrophic injuries and sealing the fate of possibly still breathing male.
The dynamics of the incident were devastating, according to the PRF report. Initially, a passenger vehicle ran over the victim, and then a truck passed over the body that was lying on the highway. Unfortunately, the man succumbed to his injuries and lost his life at the scene of the accident.
Civil police arrived and examined the body before it was removed and taken for an autopsy. His family was informed on his death.
