Collector’s gunman kills wife and his children and shoots himself in Siddipet
SIDDIPET, DECEMBER 15, 2023: In a shocking incident, a police constable and Collector’s gunman killed his wife and two children and committed suicide by shooting himself with his service weapon allegedly in Ramunipatla village of Chinnakodur mandal of Siddipet district on Friday morning.
Police sources said that police constable Akula Naresh (35) killed his wife Chaitanya (30) and two school-going children Revanth (6) and Rishitha (5) and later committed suicide by shooting himself. When the constable did attend to his duties and no response to the phone calls on Friday, the police officials visited his house only to found the dead bodies of all the four members of the family.
The children were in school uniform and were ready to go to school. The police have registered a case and inquiring whether the constable resorted to this extreme act due to family problems or any reasons such as financial problems for the suicide. Further details are awaited.
