The action of the man with the initials R (32) was broadcast live via his personal Instagram account on Tuesday (25/7/2023) around 05.30 WIB.
South Purwokerto Police Chief Kompol Puji Kompol Puji Nurochman said the action was discovered after one of his family saw an Instagram live broadcast.
"There was his brother (West Purwokerto) who witnessed and he went straight to it, but he couldn't be saved," Puji told reporters, Tuesday.
According to Puji, R has been living alone in a rented house in the South Purwokerto District.
After receiving the report, said Puji, the police came to the TKP to conduct an examination.
"From the results of the TKP, no signs of violence were found. So, he hanged himself using a sarong behind the house," explained Puji.
After that, the body was immediately handed over to the family for burial.
