A man died this Saturday morning when he was attacked by a crocodile in Santa Cruz de Guanacaste.
The fact was confirmed to La Teja by both the Fire Department and the Red Cross monitoring center. The entities indicated that the alleged attack occurred around 6 am on the Cañas River, in the vicinity of the bridge.
Alexander Porras, supervisor of the Red Cross headquarters, explained that initially the case was reported as a water accident, in which it was reported that a man had entered the mentioned river, in which crocodiles live.
"The man was located at 6:32 am They indicated that a crocodile had him pressed, so the body is being recovered," Porras explained.
