these soldiers did what they did because the russian occupiers use to equip the corpses (mostly civilians) with grenades turning them into traps, intending to kill anyone attempting to recover the dead.
ukrainian liberators on the other hand, chose not to resort to similar tactics. it'd be pointless anyway since even the whole world knows by now that orcs don't care much about their fallen comrades and only very rarely bother to retrieve them. usually they're just leaving them behind.
