A 14-year-old teenager died after being hit by a car fleeing a kidnapping attempt in Brasilândia, São Paulo, at 7:23 pm on Sunday (20).
According to the Military Police, a woman and her husband were triggered to carry out a freight with a truck. They went to the combined address and, when they got there, they were surprised by the fake shipping scam.
Criminals approached the vehicle and announced the kidnapping. The two were surrendered and taken into captivity. Upon arriving at the scene, the men put her husband in captivity and, in a moment of distraction, the woman managed to break free and ran towards the car.

According to the Military Police, after the woman ran, she got into the car to escape and accelerated the vehicle. Frightened and in a hurry, she lost control and violently ran over a 14-year-old girl who was on the sidewalk.
The teenager was Gabriele Almeida de Souza, who was leaving her grandmother's house when she was hit head-on by the vehicle. Footage from surveillance cameras showed the crash. The rescue team was triggered, but the young woman died at the scene.
