Two private security guards were shot while reacting to an assault in the Itaigara neighborhood, in Salvador, on Saturday afternoon (8). One of them died and there are no details on the other's condition. As of the publication of this report, no one has been arrested.

A security camera recorded the action. The images show the moment when security guards tried to escape from the two suspects. One of the security guards got into a fight with one of the men. They fell to the ground. At this moment, the security guard was shot and did not get up again.

Then the second security guard appeared, surrendering, hands in the air. He tried to separate the coworker with the suspect from the ground, while the second gunman pointed at him. The second suspect also shot the second security guard, who was shot in the leg.

The two gunmen then fled in a stolen car. According to the Military Police, the case is being investigated by the Department of Homicide and Protection of the Person (DHPP), which will analyze these security camera images.

The injured security guard was rescued by the Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu) and taken to the State General Hospital (HGE).
