A young man named Subas (30) was electrocuted by climbing on top of a 33 thousand volt electricity pole in Kushtia.
The incident took place on Thursday, September 22 at around 12:30 PM in Mollategharia area of the city.
According to viral video images and local sources, today, on Thursday, September 22, around 12 o'clock in the morning, a smell rose from the top of the 33 thousand volt electricity pole in the field in Mollategharia area of Kushtia city.
As soon as the news of the power pole climbing spread, the local people gathered at the spot.
At that time, the common people under the pole asked to get down, but Subas did not pay any heed.
The Kushtia Fire Service reached the spot after hearing this news.
At one point Subas was electrocuted and fell down.
His lower body was severely burnt.
Later, the fire service quickly rescued and admitted Kushtia General Hospital.
According to hospital sources, he was later referred to Dhaka for better treatment.
But why he climbed to the top of the electricity pole is not known exactly.
