Together with the collapsed balcony, Hüseyin Efe first crashed into a downstairs balcony and then fell from a height of about 20 meters.

Concrete pieces from the balcony continued to fall on Efe, who fell to the ground. At the time of the incident, part of the balcony of the first floor collapsed.

“BLOOD WAS COMING FROM EVERY SIDE”

Efe, who was seriously injured, was immediately taken to the hospital by ambulance called at the scene. Despite all the interventions, she lost her life. The owner of the building was taken to the police station to be questioned.

Cleaning officer İsa Can Yovay, who was sweeping the area when the balcony collapsed, said, “There was a renovation upstairs, when he hit the hammer twice, he fell to the ground. As he fell to the ground with the stones, it became difficult for him to breathe, so I pulled over. There was blood coming from all sides. 5 minutes later the ambulance came and took him away. When the concrete pieces fell, I immediately turned my face.”

Hüseyin Örnekol, who lived in the building opposite the building where the incident took place and saw the moment of the incident, said, “I was sitting on the balcony, after hitting it twice with a sledgehammer, the balcony collapsed. His condition was not good, and rubble fell on him. We called the ambulance, he was unconscious, we were calling and he was not answering. We intervened a little, put a pillow under his head. He died,” he said.
