Great job! A brave agent of the National Police of Peru (PNP) foiled the robbery of a 

bank agent located in the province of Jaén, in the Cajamarca region, after confronting 

two thieves with bullets who tried to take thousands of soles from the place.

In the security cameras shared by Panamericana TV, it is possible to observe that, 

despite ending up wounded during the shooting, the policeman from the ground managed 

to reduce one of the assailants in the confrontation, on Mariscal Castilla street.



In this sense, the images also show that a subject in a black cap arrives with his accomplice, 

who is on a linear motorcycle. Next, when they try to enter the premises, 

a civil agent, who followed them up, intercepts them in a quick intervention.



For this reason, the police force managed to open fire on the thugs and a shootout 

broke out in broad daylight. In the confrontation, the policeman ends up badly 

wounded by a bullet in the left leg, but from the ground he reduces one of the criminals.

After that, the agent took refuge in a nearby business, while the other criminal 

managed to escape. However, the gunshot wounded thief was identified as Eder Bazán, 

who was taken to the General Hospital of Jaén together with the brave policeman

In addition, hours later, Criminalistics agents from the National Police arrived, 

who later reported that they also managed to capture the second thief in the Fila Alta area.
