Description
Reno deputies responded to a call in the Moon Rocks area where they found a man suffering from major deformities and injuries to his left hand. He was flown to the hospital via air ambulance and is considered to be in stable condition.
An investigation revealed a man was standing in front of a crowd of 500 people on top of a rock cropping when he lit a firework which exploded in his hand. The firework was launched through the crowd and hit another man in the chest.
The sheriff's office would like this incident to serve as a reminder of the danger of fireworks especially when combined with alcohol or other substances.
