A child died after he was beaten up by his father in the town of Rodriguez in Rizal, GMA News' Bam Alegre reported on "Unang Balita."
In a CCTV footage, a naked man can be seen lifting up a child and smashing him onto the pavement several times.
Neighbors approached him as they tried to stop him from further hurting the child.
The man and his neighbors ended up in a tussle.
The suspect was arrested but he died while in jail.
The police reported that the suspect kept on hitting his head on the wall until he lost consciousness.
